This is the election time.
Every voter has a right to know what the next incumbent will do for the country during the next 5 years.Two main contenders are BJP and the CONGRESS. The BJP is seeking votes on the basis of their performance without any sops or freebees. The congress on the other hand has come out with a revolutionary (as per congress) step of dolling out money , 72000/- per year to the poorest of the poor to wipe out poverty for ever to counter BJP 6000/- per year only to the farmer having 5 acrs and less of agricultural land. We know the conditions for Rs. 6000/- disbursal. But we do not know how the congress, when comes to power, will go about this scheme. I tried to find out from their website , but without success. From the launching day and from spokespersons, including former FM., I could gather the following:
The minimum income would be fixed as 12000/- per month.
Any amount falls short of 12000 would be reimbursed.
The maximum limit is 6000/-.
Suppose, if income is 11500 , only 500 will be reimbursed.
If the income is 6000 then 6000 will be reimbursed.
A pilot project will be launched, results evolved and the scheme would be implemented.
To fund this scheme a new tax will be levied
With all these ifs and buts the scheme will be launched.
But when?
I heard the election speeches of Shri.Rahul Gandhi in Krishnagiri, Tamilnadu, yesterday.
He was categorical Rs. 72000/- would be deposited as soon as they assume power.
With this money the people can to bazaar and purchase cloths etc. With this Thiruppur and
Kancheepuram weavers will be benefited. Jobs will increase in those places.
He was direct and sure the country will become full of employment opportunities. The people cheered him.
