Tamilnadu State Election

Better late than never
I was watching the election process from the beginning to the result day.
Two parties, AIADMK and PMK were the first to announce their intention to go alone.
The DMK, though started the campaign very early, caught in the nitty gritty of coalition and lost the focus. It waited too long for coalition partners, very liberal in giving away seats  and thus lost the focus.  The untested communist parties to win on their own, weak MDMK, cast based VC, late entrant Vijayakant and Vasan were appeared as  great loosers from the very beginning.
The Tamilnadu turf is not yet ready to accept the politics of BJP.
So it appeared as though that AIADMK may scrap thru. There was not much opposition except in Chennai due to poor management of floods.
Of all the campaigners, Anbumani Ramadas stood as a class. He was very focus and put his views effectively but could not succeed being a party of a particular cast.
The AIADMK announced its candidates much earlier and started the campaign ahead of others.
Ms. Jayalalitha, campaigned extensively putting forth her achievements and what
she would do in future.  She was direct and ignored the opposition parties completely.
I may add the following reasons for the success of AIADMK, apart from known facts:
1. All parties talked of every cast Dalit, Muslims, Christians, BCs, MBCs etc., but none talked of
caste like Brahmins, Vaishyas etc. as though they are non existent.
2. None of them talked of industrialists and other job providers
The AIADMK had not antagonized any section  of the people including the above mentioned.
3. Majority of women voters.
4. Those who are against prohibition and they are sizable in numbers.
All know the end result.
