The Moment of greatest Joy

The day dawned as usual at 6.30 AM.  Went into the WC room to complete the morning scheme of things, brushed  teeth and came out.  My better half was ready with a jarful of water.  Performed sandhya ( you know, I am retired and have  enough time for all these),  emptied the reamaning water in to my stomach.   Enjoyed the steaming aromatic coffee.  By this time the paper had arrived.  One Tamil  daily and the other was The Hindu, the inseparable part of a Chennaite. My first preference is the Tamil Daily, the paper in my mother tongue and after that the   english Daily.  The paper was full of usual stories like deaths , suicides, accidents, statements from political leaders on all subjects , roads full of path holes, dirt (despite Modis Swacha Bharath), non functioning of street lights and road signals, chain snatching, murders, demonstration by the public, power cuts etc etc. That means everything in our country and in Tamil was  normal and no heart breaking or earth shaking incident had occurred and I was much relieved.   Next I took up Hindu.  Normally it does not print screaming news headlines.  I just had a cursory glance of the paper and left it for a leisurely reading some time in the after noon.  But one news item caught my attention( I did not remember in which paper)i.e a photo shot of Stalin son of DMK Patriarch, with archakas in Thanjavur and he also reported to have told that the DMK is very much  a Hindu party.  My inner voice murmured  that ELECTION ARE APPROACHING  though far away.

Had a bath and after a light breakfast, opened the LAP TOP.  LO, It seemed that the entire world  had come to a standstill because it refused to start normally. I closed it in the normal way yesterday night and I had no reason why it did not start this day.  Only small dots forming a circle rotating continuously.   I tried all my computer knowledge acquired over the years but it refused to respond.

I felt flat. No mail correspondence, no stock transactions, no account update, no face book, no twitter no banking transactions , no online purchase, no Skype and no You Tube.  I don't think that smart phones, I pads and Tablets are easy substitutes.

I tried all the tricks of my computer skill till evening and finally decided to approach a professional
serviceman   I placed before him my machine. I explained to him my predicament.
The dots were still going round and round and no trace of normal start. He assured me  of prompt service with a rider that I might  loose saved data in this process. I had no other choice and  agreed.

The voice of the lady executive at the counter  drew my attention, asking for the system pass word.

Oho,OHo,oHHOO my system finally booted and my joy knew no bounds. This is the greatest moment of the day.
